Loyola VLAB is Fundraising

The VLAB is raising money to buy a Factory Five Kit Car that students will assemble. We have $10,000 committed from the Computer Science Department, and we are looking to raise a total of $40,000 for the project.

So what does the VLAB do?

The VLAB builds and tinkers with vehicles. In Fall 2024, we will be building a car from a Factory Five kit. Members of the lab will get hands-on experience assembling the suspension, body, and drive train of a real car. We will meet Thursday evenings for 3-4 hours each week to work on the car. Check out the schedule below for a tenative meeting plan in Fall 2024.

This is an educational process for all of us: community partners, donors, students and faculty. We're all here to learn things. The VLAB is open to all of our stakeholders, and we hope to see you at a build session!
